Anborn BGRP - Grima Wormtonuge
I am a witch. Starting N2, I can turn a PJHobbit into a Corrupted Hobbit. I cannot use this ability on consecutive nights (so N2, N4, etc.). I may only attempt to turn Hobbits identified by Saruman. I may turn a total of 4 PJHobbits, and this ability will only work on PJHobbits. Attempting to turn a player that is not a PJHobbit will result in "Turn Failed." If I attempt to turn the Ring bearer my identity will be revealed to Gandalf. Upon turning a PJHobbit, my identity will be revealed to the player. They will then be BGs with a win condition of having the BGs win. If I die, all Corrupted Hobbits will be returned to normal. Corrupted Hobbits will not gain access to the BG board.
-------
I've written and asked for clarification from Angry about this and have already received the following (bolded are angry's responses to each question, followed by my take on them):
1) How will I know the PJH Saruman has identified? the BG board?
Yes - I assumed this was the case but just asked for clarification.
2) I can only turn 4 hobbits... does that mean 4 attemps? or 4 successful turns?
4 successful turns - good info.
3) If I can only attempt to turn those identified by Saruman, but if I attempt to turn a player that isn't a PJH I will get "turn failed". Does this imply either that Saruman's views aren't 100% or that the GGRPs have a masking ability?
No Comment - my take is that either saruman doesn't get views correct 100% of the time, or more likely that the GGRPs have some kind of masking ability. Based on this and the above, if they are masked during Sarumans view and I try to turn someone, it will effectively confirm a GGRP status no?
4) What is to keep a runup corrupted hobbit from outing me as he's going down? This is a serious concern.
Well, he has a win condition of having the BGs win. He will not know that if you die, he returns to normal - meh... I have no real garuntees i guess.
5) Are corrupted hobbits told they have a way to revert back to normal PJH status? When corrupted hobbits don't get access to the BG board, they may guess this to be the case.
They may guess that, but they will never be told for certain. - just clarification.
6) Is there a way for me to communicate with the corrupted hobbits? Even with some kind of communication the information I can relay is going to be hardly any. Since they have the ability to turn back to the good side, I can't confirm any other BG's, and any direction I give them towards/away from a lynch will be bad after I die. I'm probably getting into information better discussed on the BG board as to the best way to handle this ability.
When the time comes, you will know this... - this based on the above I take to mean I will probably get a "corrupted hobbits board" or something like it. at least thats my impression.
