can we get confirmation that our win condition is to be the only ones left? just want to make sure in case we get multiple win conditions (killing gdalf+frodo, capturing the ring, etc.)...
also - we either have some nutsy type powers, or there is another BG team, or there are some serious indy's. 6 vs 26 seems like a horrible odds.

after thinking about it a bit on the way to/from lunch (completely unconsciously, i'm hooked)... here's some thoughts.
If there is a 2nd BG team, it most assuredly has to be made of ringwraiths, led by the witchking of angmar. There is no other group that would make up another BG team that would make sense in the context of the books/movies given how our roles are already entwined. though if they were in the game I would have expected them to be associated in some way with sauron/early. maybe early can create some wraiths? that would be hot. I'm eagerly awaiting the rest of everyones roles/powers. :excited:
outside of the apparent non-inclusion of the wraiths, other characters on the bg/indy side of things that may/maynot be in game:
gollum - indy (i'ld be utterly shocked, stunned, and appalled if gollum wasn't in the game, and that he was an indy, his entire character from the books/movie scream indy).
denathor/boromir - indy/gg/bg pending on being viewed by saruman or event with a palantir (for denethor), or a possible encounter with the ring or after a set of days he turns indy/bg after starting out gg (for boromir). maybe a 2person bg team?
tom bombadil and treebeard - indy? while probably more of a gg roles, if cheesehead was going strictly by the books, both would be neutral as they indicate they have no concern for the affairs of the world of men, and are sorta on their own. I would have no idea what their combined win condition would be... having them off GGs would be a bit out of character?
watcher in the water - indy? no idea, and if the balrog is on our bg team, I would have expected him to be as well if it's in the game.
smaug? - indy? (hobbit character, so it would be a stretch)
none others come immediately to mind for indy status.

I know you all are glad to have me on your side in this one.  I am Saruman a seer searching for Hobbits. Each night, I can submit a name and will receive either "Hobbit" or the role of the player. Since Hobbits are beneath me, they all appear the same, even if they have a role. Seriously peeps, do not fret about me f'in up. I have a much better grip on how things work this (my second) time around. It's all good.  |
